Is the pcm a plug & play replacement of the ecu?

In newer cars, the memcal is fixed to the PCM. From VX onwards you need to change the PCM as it uses flash memory rather then a memcal which can be changed. the only exception to this is the models fitted with L67 engines which still utilise a memcal based PCM.
