I have a 05 Calais with the 5 speed auto. I was wondering if the cam upgrades for the motor would eventually burn out the clutch in the transmission.

It won't burn out the clutches in the transmission. However it would be a good idea to install a large transmission cooler regardless if the car is modified or not, as heat is what causes automatic transmissions to fail
