If you can afford to upgrade the factory cast manifolds/headers to tuned length extractors it would be good to get them done now. Otherwise the other exhaust upgrade option you've suggested is fine too. Please note that gutting the cats is illegal though and lead to a hefty fine.
As for the exhaustfor my L67what will the factory twin into single be capable of? I'm unsure if I can afford to do the exhaust before I tune it. Budget around 5k. Or is just getting a cat back twin 2 1/4 enough for now? Rest would be tax time with a retun
