I’m looking at getting a cam, though I don’t want to change anything other than the cam; however I want a loud lump shaking idle.

Your best bet would be our Stage1 COMP Cams to suit V6 Ecotec (as per the ad), which should create a nice lumpy idle, as shown in the link below:
