Pod filters work well. There is a reason why they're standard fitment on performance engines found in the Honda S2000, and new Supercharged Ford GTs. The reason why they have a bad name is that very often people will install pod filters unshielded, resulting in sucking a lot of hot air which hurts performance. Our cold air intake kits use pod filers however are boxed/shielded from the hot engine bay, allowing air to draw from a cold source. Gains are around 3-5rwkw. For more feedback about our kits. The cold air is drawn in between the radiator and behind the headlight.
