I was under the impression that it was the push rods of the 1:98 set that were the main problem in the VY, and that I would need the 1:9s plus a different length push rod?Is that correct?

We do not have any different type of pushrods. The pushrods you have are the skinnier pushrods which you require for the VY engine.
