In regards to undertaking an L67 engine conversion for your VR V6 there are three main options as shown below.
1) Install the L67 engine and transmission while using your VR V6 wiring loom modded to suit (easy to do), along with using the VR wiring loom from the automatic transmission valve body in the L67 transmission (again easy to do). Despite this conversion approach being the easiest, the only main downside is that it would require a custom tune to suit.
2) Install the L67 engine and transmission, along with its original (donor) wiring loom into your VR. You would then need a memcal with the VATS (vehicle anti-theft system), which we can supply such that the car will start without using a suitable BCM from the donor wiring loom. The main downside to this is that swapping over the wiring loom big job.
3) Install the L67 engine and transmission, along with an aftermarket computer and wiring loom into your VR. While the working work may be less (depending on if you have a manual or auto transmission), you’ll still have to factor in the cost of the aftermarket computer and custom tune to suit.
