How larger cams affect idle quality? I am not particularly after a lumpy idle, just better performance. I currently have standard rockers, and its to suit a VX Calais l67 auto.

The biggest factor that influences cams idle quality, is the amount of overlap (when both intake and exhaust valves are open) present.
