My VZ commodore is standard apart from a 2 1/4" twin cat back exhaust fitted and badly lacks bottom end torque, but it revs well. Will a manifold insulator help this problem and improve fuel consumption.
The manifold insulator would improve torque/responsiveness down low. Fuel economy should improve, depending on how the car is driven.

On average how much does postage cost to the following post code: 2570 Camden NSW
This would depend on the products you were interested in having delivered. We would need to know this first before being able to give you an average postage cost.

On Mace's 10psi pulley upgrade it says 98 octane fuel is required, how do these go against the LS1 engines?
Between traffic lights on the street at legal limits, lots or cars would struggle to keep up with an L67 powered Commodore with mild bolt on mods, LS1 powered Commodores included. This is due to th...

On my VE V6 I want improved shift points and max power/economy from the tune. Can this be done remotely?
For our supported remote-tune vehicles, we can tune all automatic transmissions except for the 5-speed version. We can still tune vehicles that run a 5-speed automatic, just the engine component th...

On my VS commodore I intend on changing to the L67 wiring loom due to the extra sensors. Can Mace help me out regarding the same?
If you can get the memcal (which we can help you with) then don't bother with the extra work of swapping the loom over.

On my VY V6 series 1 the only performance upgrades I have is a 2.5" catback exhaust. I am currently looking for a little more punch and throttle response .Can you suggest some basic engine modifications at a reasonable price. Which combinations work the b
If you were solely after improving throttle response and torque down-low, then I would recommend a 25mm manifold insulator, a 69mm throttle body, and a tune to suit. Otherwise, other performance up...

On the LFX engine there is a composite intake manifold, why would you fit insulators ?
While the insulator does assist with blocking heat transfer due to conduction, it’s nowhere near as effective on the LF1/LFW/LFX engine due to their plastic composite intake manifolds as you’ve all...

On the Mace engineering website it says the v6 COMETIC MLS HEAD GASKETS 3.84 which suits a VN/v6iis 0.060 thick. What I need to know is compressed thickness when torqued down?
Given that they gasket comprises of a solid steel core, I doubt that they'll compress down a great deal.

On the off chance do you know what the fuel calibration number is supposed to be for a VU V6, it can be accessed in the one window dash display by holding mode and the left arrow at start up, the value comes after the serial number or would that be reset
No idea, sorry. In regards to recalibrating the dash, I dare say you would need to use a Tech 2 tool. If you’re still stuck then I would consider contacting this company. http://www.howardinstrume...

On the VZ SV6 manifold just were the inlet is, there is a hose attached to the front left pipe on the manifold. What is that rubber hose actually for? If it is cracked does it matter?
I believe that that's part of the crankcase ventilation. The problem with it being cracked is not so much due to the crankcase ventilation, but the fact that it will cause a vacuum leak in the mani...
