Is it possible to change the IAC valve on the VY V6 engine? As I am planning on buying a new engine soon and I am not sure if I will be receiving a VX or a VY Ecotec.

Certainly. For argument's sake, you would be able to run a VY V6 IAC Valve on a VX V6 Ecotec without any issues.
