Why does the Perspex (clear) lid that came with my MACE Cold Air Intake Kit look brown or white instead of clear?

The lid is supplied with a protective film to prevent scratches during shipping and handling. Please check if the film is still attached. It should peel off easily to reveal the clear Perspex underneath.
